South Florida Hurricane Season 2013

When I walk outside, I notice the air is a lot heavier and a lot hotter.  In South Florida this usually means a few things:  the summer months are coming and hurricane season is quickly approaching.  Be sure you are prepared! This year weather sources are predicting another busy hurricane and storm season.  The preliminary head count so far is looking like 9 hurricanes could hit the area, with a total of 18 named storms.  The good news is that most of the storms will lose steam or blow up to the north before hitting South Florida land fall, but it’s always good to know what the possibilities are. If you live in the South Florida area, be sure to protect your home with hurricane windows, impact windows or at the very least, hurricane shutters.
